Styled Living, Every Day Spaces
I believe every day living can be well styled with intentional items around your home to reflect your personality and life experiences. I love the process of discovering new ways to showcase our favorite things while keeping a cohesive design style throughout our home. This month on the blog, I highlighted several ideas for styled living in your every day spaces.

Design
When I started to incorporate houseplants into our home, I struggled with finding inspiration on how to incorporate them in a way which stayed true to our style. This month I shared on the blog 5 easy tips for how to style houseplants as part of your home decor. Check out the post for inspirational pics and links to my favorite plants and planters!

Styling houseplants around your home can be a fun way to reflect your personality while incorporating elements of nature in indoor spaces. I tend to gravitate to three different types of houseplants which gives me options in where and how I can style these in various spaces. For statement pieces, I recommend any of the ficus tree varieties and have several in each of our main living spaces with varying sizes to reflect my love for tropical places. A few of my favorites include, Fiddle Leaf Fig, Burgundy Rubber Plant, Ficus Benjamina, Ficus Audrey, and Ficus Tineke. Many of these plants when purchased at a reasonable price will start off small, allowing you to style on a shelf or entryway table for many years before they need a new spot to call home. Check out a local nursery in your area or Lowe’s and The Home Depot, both in stores and online, to purchase a few ficus plants for your home! For low maintenance plants, you can’t go wrong with a Zz plant, Snake plant and any variety of a Pothos plant. I like how these plants can provide a simple finishing detail in a space and are easy to keep alive for even the most novice plant owner!
Entertaining
When it comes to serving dishes, I almost always purchase our dishes in white and have a few favorites I use on repeat when we are entertaining guests. I shared on the blog my 9 must have serving dishes that I consider to be entertaining essentials which work for any occasion, both big or small gatherings.

Entertaining guests is how we spend most of our time on the weekends. Gathering with friends or family both deepens relationships with the special people in our lives and is always time well spent. I like to be ready for guests and having items on hand like different cheese, nuts and crackers makes it easy to have a quick spread ready in just a few minutes. This modular serving set is an item I use often because of the versatility and ability to hold a decent amount of food to set out while entertaining guests. Check out this post from earlier this month to see more recommendations for serving dishes to purchase for yourself or gift to others, to curate a collection of serveware for any occasion!
Wine
I always find inspiration in the design choices featured at many wineries, reflecting the organic, earthy elements found in nature. This month I shared ideas for unique gifts and modern home decor for any wine enthusiast. This is a great way to add timeless pieces into your home while showcasing your favorite vineyards.

If you have spent time reading Home with Booz, you know by now I have a passion for both design and wine. I love enjoying a good glass of wine with friends or family and if there is ever an opportunity to visit a winery, count me in! In this post I shared how one of the books we have out on display in our wine cellar, Signature Wines & Wineries of Washington is an anchor to a special trip to the Walla Walla, Washington area for great wine and time with family. We found a few favorite vineyards during this visit and I frequently recommend L’Ecole Cabernet Sauvignon for a wine to pair with well, just about anything! This winery has such a great story and is located in a historic Frenchtown School with a delightful back deck to enjoy a wine tasting. If you are in the Washington area and looking for a unique wine experience, stop by and enjoy the L’Ecole wines.
Monthly Musings
This month we had extra time at home together as we experienced several snow days which allowed us all to slow down and stay in. As I reflect on this month, the highlight reel is all about time with our friends and family. I am working to be more intentional about how we spend our days and wanting to ensure we take time to play, connect with others and unwind. I finished reading The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins and I am a huge fan! I love how the book lays out important work we can do to set ourselves free from some of our patterns of behavior which hold us back from living our best lives. For me, this book came at a great time and has already had a profound impact on how I handle certain situations and how I choose to show up each day. If you are looking for your next good read to support your personal growth, be sure to check out this book.
This post pairs well with a L’Ecole Chardonnay wine which is a great white wine to have in stock and one of my favorites to drink on a warm sunny day. If you enjoyed this post, consider sharing it with others on Pinterest! Cheers!

I love your idea of using all-white dishes for entertaining! Brilliant!
Thank you!
