Design | Target Style
Over the years, I have found numerous items from Target to add into our home including artwork, decorative objects, decorative baskets, entryway benches, throw pillows and throw blankets. Curating a style in your home takes both time and patience to find the right pieces to add into your decor. I shared in this
post my favorite home decor items to curate a classic design and how I’ve purchased various items from Target to add in those final touches to a space. Decorating a home doesn’t need to be complicated and focusing on classic items allows you to transition easily with the changing of seasons.
WINE
Kansas City favorites
This month we enjoyed a few of our favorite things about living in Kansas City including a dining experience during KC Restaurant Week 2025 and another exciting Kansas City Chiefs playoff game!
I love these special opportunities to enjoy the city and support our Kansas City sports teams.

Wine | KC Favorites
KC restaurant week is a fun way to explore and experience some of Kansas City’s restaurants while supporting a local cause. This year we selected Eddie V’s Prime Seafood for our evening out on the town. We enjoyed an incredible four course meal paired with an Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon. If you missed the event this year, be sure to mark your calendar for next year and in the meantime, check out this comprehensive list of some of our finest restaurants in the area that you can enjoy all year round.
We are big sports fans at our house and always love to watch a good game at home with friends. Hosting during football season is one of my favorite activities and we love our Kansas City Chiefs! We were fortunate to have the opportunity to attend the first divisional playoff game and bundled up to experience the energy at Arrowhead stadium. The Chiefs game did not disappoint and the stadium is always a good time hanging with friends and fans of Chiefs Kingdom.

Monthly Musings
January has gone by fast! We had record snowfall during a blizzard earlier this month which created special memories at home as a family. I love watching the snow fill the sky and the white layer which covers the landscape. Given the white out conditions and the Chiefs game on Sunday, our neighbors invited several families on our street to hang out for the afternoon. I still smile at all of us bundling up to head over with
our appetizers and drinks in the thick of the snowfall to share in a timeless tradition of gathering together to watch football! We are so fortunate to have such great people around us and the random snow days reminded me of why I love spending time at home. Creating an environment where all who are invited are welcome and in a safe place to be themselves, is a gift that keeps on giving to you, and to those in your circle.
This post pairs well with a Chateau St Michelle Indian Wells Cabernet Sauvignon which is one of my favorite wines to have on hand. If you found this post helpful, please consider sharing this with others on Pinterest! Cheers!

Great January recap! I love getting organized at my home, too. The storage trays look perfect for me!
Thank you!
I love an organized home as well. Can’t function otherwise! I love the KC recommendation. My cousin lives right outside the city and we try to visit often.
Agreed! Enjoy your next visit to KC.
How does everything in your house stay so white? I have animals and this would be destroyed in a couple days, if not hours!
Haha, our golden doodle thinks she’s human and she mostly snuggles up to blankets all day while taking long naps.
I need these organizing storage trays too. Thank you for the great suggestions!
Thank you! The storage trays are great, I just picked up a few more today for another space.
